Bio EN
I was born in Montreal, Canada and after having lived in different African countries, Montreal is where I studied graphic design. As a professional illustrator, I focus on a mix of editorial, institutional and picture book drawing. I delve into every creative project with a sense of adventure and exploration that has kept me excited throughout my practice.
I started out my career using drawn collage and then gouache. Ten years ago, screen printing became my main influence. I integrate pastels and textures as needed. I am interested in putting my impressions into visuals that will grab attention, connect with and touch others.
My children’s books have brought me into schools, giving workshops through institutional programs. The love for illustration has led me to be in juries, committees and eventually president of Illustration Québec in the past. I now also offer coaching services and give professional training workshops in the association’s educational program.
In my spare time I sculpt, scratch, stitch and dig, always pursuing creative challenges.

Je suis née à Montréal, au Canada. Après avoir vécu mon enfance entre le Québec et l’Afrique, j’ai étudié en design graphique. Je crée des images pour le milieu éditorial et institutionnel, ainsi que pour l’univers de la littérature jeunesse. Je me submerge dans chaque projet de création avec un sens d’exploration et d’aventure qui me garde allumée!
À la sortie de l’école, mes techniques de prédilection ont été le collage dessiné et la gouache. Puis il y a dix ans, c’est l’influence de la sérigraphie qui m’a permis de façonner mon style actuel. J’y intègre des textures et du pastel sec au besoin. Je cherche à insuffler à mes compositions force et sensibilité qui toucheront le « regardeur ».
Mes livres jeunesse m’ont mené à offrir des ateliers dans les écoles au travers de programmes gouvernementaux. Je suis toujours engagée d’une façon ou d’une autre dans mon milieu professionnel – par des juries, dans des comités de travail ou encore ayant agit comme présidente pour Illustration Québec. Je poursuis mon implication en offrant un service d’accompagnement en demandes de bourse et anime formations professionnelles dans le programme de formation d’Illustration Québec.
Dans mes temps libres je sculpte, je gratte, je brode, je creuse, toujours en mode d’exploration créative.
